I think we sorta decided to do ice blended and milk tea right? And the last time I asked, there were ONLY 5 ppl willing to help cook the ingredients. Anyway thanks to these 5 pp.
I would like to distribute the jobs now so that you can try out and you won't freak out in the morning because you realise the recipe has gone wrong. You may also need to trail and error.
And I seriously urge more ppl to come forward to help.

3)Sheng Chun-pearls
4)Mina-syrup for the pearls(sugar coating)
5)Hanny-syrup(same as hui min only that the syrup is used for different purpose)

as i was browsing thru d sec 2 book as mrs chue mentioned earlier to the class
i realised that it would be good for all of u to read thru it as it is more detailed as compared to the sec 1 math taxt book.
furthermore, on pgs 311-350 of the math text book[topic-statistics]
the stuff in it is sort of totally different from the sec 1 math text book but the stuff that is goin to b tested is in both the sec 1 math text bk and the sec 2 math text book.
for example
to know more about the mean , mode n median
juz reading the sec 1 book u'll still hv no idea wat it is exactly.
cause it is not even stated there!
but if u refer to the sec 2 book.
it is stated there clearly and there is the comparison of the mean , mode and median.
---go refer. it is related to the recent block test(2) qs 2---

for that qs, [refer to the book]
mean is usu preferred over the median s all vali\ues in the data r used in calculating the data unlike the mean n the median.
PROVIDED THAT THERE ARE NO EXTREME VALUES!
AS IT WILLL BE AFFECTED.
whereas the median is the better indicator as it is not affected by extreme values.

Fashion ROJAK!
Ø “Fashion ROJAK!” is a fashion show that will feature a fusion of fashion from the four ethnic races of Singapore
Ø It will be held at the podium in the quadrangle, occurring at various intervals between 10am to 2pm. A time slot of 10 to 15 minutes will be given for each dance troupe to perform. (alternating with Dance ROJAK!)
Ø The fashion show acts as a means of demonstrating the idea of multiculturalism, which can be defined as a society that reflects the integration of diverse cultures, through the culture of clothes.
Ø The theme of the fashion show is “Fusion Fashion” where costumes have to be designed using ethnic garbs of different ethnic groups matched together.
Ø The fashion show is also an interclass competition. Each class is to participate, designing one costume and sending a representative to model it. There will be a preliminary round when school reopens and a final round (which is the fashion show on the day of YDF)
Ø There will also be a teacher’s round (teachers are encouraged to join) – something to look forward to!
Ø Votes will be taken during the fashion show on the day of YDF, using funfair coupons. The finalists from each level and teacher with the highest amount of donations will emerge as winners of Fashion ROJAK!

Secondary 1: Malay Extravaganza! (abide by this, which means we need malay costumes)
Ø Please get your costumes ready by T3W1.
Ø Classes are to keep within a budget of $10, and are encouraged to use costumes and materials from home.
Ø Classes must participate in the preliminary round in the first week of term 3.

Canteen Table Decoration Competition

Each class will be able to decorate their very own table in the canteen! The theme for the table decoration competition is "Conservation". Classes can get creative and think of ways to design their very own canteen table to suit this theme. This competition is compulsory and each class must send 3 representatives to take part.

Date: 22nd April 2008 (tomorrow)

Time: 2.00pm (contact time) to 3.30pm

Venue: Canteen. Tables that each class is allocated to will be indicated on the tables.

Judging criteria: Classes will be judged according to how creative the class is, whether or not the class uses recycled materials for decoration, relevance to the theme of conservation and aesthetic appeal.

Each class is required to buy their own plastic sheets to cover their decoration. The budget should be within $10, including the plastic sheet. Decorations will stay on the canteen tables until the end of term 2, so be sure to do your best because everyone in the school can see your designs! (:

it's real bad news okay.
huimin has called me and told me about the change in prices blabla.
for the chiller and ice cream thingy o.o
in order to keep the ice cream COOL,
we need the chiller.
or else it'll just melt -.-
so the supplier said that he would give us
12 tubs of ice cream about 5kg.
each tub is about $15.50.
so 12 tubs are $186.
and 12 tubs weigh lik 60kg -.- plus minus.

and we have to get a minimum of 12 tubs.
if we don't get the ice cream
we can still get the chiller,
but it'll be a lot more expensive.
maybe about $100+ or $200.
but now if we get the ice cream.
we'll be able to get the chiller for like $50.
some kind of company had agreed to supply $50 for us :]
since we're doing it for charity.
please do consider if you all still want the chiller.
because i think we'll only need about 5kg of ice cream.
or 6 or 7 kg.
60kg is A LOT.
unless we bring it home,

but you pay money for it too.
and you bring home the entire 5kg tub :]
consider it okay.
the expenses will lead up to like a total of about $400.
and it's a lot.
we'll not be able to take back our money from the profits,

hm. i'll be posting about the prices that cheryl ong, mengting, fennie and huimin found for the youth day fun fair thing. be nice to them, all rights! i'll just state the food and items's prices, not the combos and sets. :D in case our items get leaked out o.o and lose its uniquity. <3>

Coke:
1.5 litres - $1.75
2 litres - $1.95 (obviously this is cheaper and more worth)

Sprite(1.5 litres) - $1.70
Rootbeer(1.5 litres) - $1.80

Fennie has found the price of an ice cream scooper which is about $7.30, but Beverly will most likely be able to provide us with that.

15 triangles small packets in a large packaging - $5.50 (most worth. small, large amount. cheap)

Huimin has checked the pricing for the rental of the chiller and the ice creams themselves.
The shop aunty had checked with the supplier regarding about the pricing,
and this is the result.

They can supply us with $200 worth of ice cream, and we must be able to sell of them out. If not, we'll still have to pay $200, regardless of whether we manage to sell finish all of them, we still have to return the ice cream and the chiller. $200 is excluding the chiller itself. But the additional charge for the chiller should be around $50 or below.

I feel this is a pretty good offer. But it depends on whether we have the confidence of selling all $200 worth of icecream, since we're using icecreams in sets, combos and stuff blabla. But i am quite certain that dry ice will definitely be more expensive than this.

so, yea. we'll have to add more money into the class fund then. I'll be holding a vote to see whether you all want the chiller or the dry ice, after confirming the price with JinYi regarding about the dry ice matter.

:D so, on Monday, please cooperate and vote which one you want, okay :O

Hey one-oh-fivers :D International Friendship Day is round the corner and we've got a task to complete unfortunately.
Here's what we have to do...

Task: As part of the International Friendship Day, your class is to research on a specific folktale or folklore of the country that has been allocated to you. (Which in this case, would be Myanmar [Burmese])

Condense the folktale/folklore into not more than 2 pages with the following criteria.

Winning entries will require a representative from the class to read the story during assembly on the 11th April 2008 and will have their story displayed during the International Friendship Week.

i really feel that we have to concentrate.
i know that there is this ''story-telling'' assignment going on.
i am equally bad in it. so, jiayous.
but, can all of us put our heads together and think of something to do for talent time?

during that short camp,
we have so many things to do.
and we seriously have to sort them out.
if not, if all of you continue to think that me, eunice and abigail are going to think for you,
you're damn wrong.
because we are not.
we are not slaves.
so, i'll be posting all these on th blog.
and do make it a point to read through it please.

Talent Time
Here is are th instructions:
-The whole class must perform.
-It cannot exceed 5 minutes.
-It can either be a skit, song or dance, or a combination of any.
-The theme is kaleidoscope (meaning 多姿多彩）

so, yea.
think about it, will you?
i am thinking of making a skit&dance, or a dance&skit.
but do take note that making a skit is not simple,
or else it is going to be a damn lame skit.
because we only have about 5 minutes, th maximum.
and i am thinking of,
maybe those who learned dance before,
can come together and choreograph some moves to perform in Talent Time,
this will make me, eunice and abigail's job easier.

and those with real good voices when you sing,
maybe you all can come together and think about it too.
i know that it is brain-wrecking to think for ideas about th Talent Time.
but do try your best.
we're already behind other classes.
i've heard that many other have already known what do they want to do.
can we like, first choose what we want to do? (dance,skit,song or a combination of any?)
In this case, when we've chosen what we want to do,
it'll make it a lot easier to think for ideas UNDER THAT TOPIC.

i know this is like a damn tough thing, and you all feel pekchek doing it.
so do i.
but this is a competition okays!
we already didn't win for th hamper-wrapping competition and cny deco competition.
but i know we've tried our best.
so, can we once again try our best for this Talent Time thing?

Class Cheer
Regarding about the class cheer, we have to come up with a class cheer that is really GOOD. okay? all of us can scream, shout. ANYTHING. so, why dont we make good use of our voice? Create or use a past class cheer from your primary school. Please do think about it. i've already gotten an idea. but it seems lame. but it doesn't matter. (: okays? must jiayous for this! think think! rack your squeeeeezed brain (: ! will be collecting suggestions from you all tomorrow. think about it over the night. it will not take very long. it'll maybe at most take half an hour, to at least think about one cheer.

Class Flag
Babes, as mr kaw had said, we can think about how to draw th class flag first. we have to make it so that everybody will remember us when they see our blog, and we can proudly say that we're 1/5. all rights? those with nice drawing, please think about it (: maybe you can offer your suggestion(s) to me, eunice, or abigail. thanks. :D we'll have to get it done asap.

Class Mascot
hahs. nice one for asking mr kaw to be our mascot. but since he had refused, let's not force him. [we can't anyway, he's th teacher!] and yea, mr kaw suggested hannah. firstly, because she was th one who designed our class tee(front). and she's so small-sized. and so cutee (: okay. hannah, can mahs? will ask you tomorrow ehs, in case you didn't check th blog. erms, please think who else is eligible to become th class mascot, if hannah has violent objection.

i know that all these seems squeezed together, and it seeems lots to do. but if we split th work among th whole class, i'd dare to bet and guarantee all of you, that it is not going to take up much time. i'll just ask for suggestions on the Talent Time performance tomorrow. but, please do not worry. i know that the story-telling assignment is important. we'll start all rehearsals and everything else after the assignment has finished. don't worry. this way, all of you will be able to go back and memorise your assignment first, put th Talent Time performance and all th other things to do aside (:
